Why Screen Printing is the Right Choice for Cups

Screen printing machine for custom cup printing

Screen printing applies ink through a mesh screen directly onto the cup surface. This produces thick, opaque, vibrant colors that sit on top of the material — not absorbed into it. The result is print quality that resists fading, smudging, and moisture.

  • 🎨
Color accuracyEach color gets its own screen — Pantone matching is reliable and consistent batch-to-batch.
  • 💧
Moisture resistanceInk bonds to the surface and withstands condensation, handling, and beverage contact.
  • Production speedAutomated equipment prints thousands of cups per hour — ideal for large-volume orders without sacrificing quality.
  • 💰
Cost efficiency at volumePer-cup cost drops significantly as quantity rises — the economics improve every time you reorder.

Custom Cup Printing — Common Questions

What is the minimum order quantity?

500 cups per design, across all materials — plastic (PP, PS, PET), paper, and styrofoam. For rush orders, minimums may be adjusted — contact us to discuss your situation.

How long does custom cup printing take?

Standard turnaround is 7 business days from artwork approval to shipment. Rush orders deliver in 3 business days at a premium. Turnaround starts once you approve the digital proof, not when you place the order.

What file types do you accept for artwork?

We prefer vector files: Adobe Illustrator (.ai), PDF, or .eps. High-resolution PNG and TIFF (300 DPI at print size) are also accepted. JPG files are not recommended for logos. If you have no artwork file, our design team can help.

Do you offer Pantone color matching?

Yes. Provide your Pantone Coated (PMS) color codes and we mix inks to match. Each color requires its own screen and a separate machine pass — each cup must be reprocessed per color. 1 color standard; up to 3 colors available. Setup fee applies per screen.

What are the setup fees?

Setup fees cover screen plate production — typically $30–$50 per color per design. They are charged once per design. Reorders of the same design do not incur setup fees. Fees are always itemized before you confirm your order.

How is reorder pricing different?

Reorders skip setup fees entirely — your screens stay on file for 12 months at no charge. Per-cup pricing remains identical to your original order. Many customers plan for reorders from the start to take advantage of this.

Can I print on cups I supply?

In most cases, yes — provided the cups are compatible with our equipment (dimensions, material, and surface treatment). Contact us with cup specs before ordering. A brief compatibility test may apply.

Do you ship outside the continental USA?

Standard service covers the continental US. Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are available with adjusted shipping. International shipping is available for large orders — contact us for a custom freight quote.
