How screen printing works

Screen printing applies one ink color per machine pass through a fine-mesh screen, cured after each pass. It's the industry standard for custom cups because it's durable, cost-effective at volume, and produces vivid, long-lasting spot colors — but each additional color adds a pass and therefore cost.

How digital printing works

Digital printing applies full-color, photographic-quality designs directly without screens or color passes, which means gradients and complex imagery reproduce more easily. It typically has lower minimums but a higher cost per unit, especially at higher volumes.

Which one should you use?
